dezell: We are looking at a plan
to develop a CG charter
... at TPAC we'll review the charter
... AHB has asked us to send the agenda of these calls to the
public IG list which we will do
... weekly call is now noon ET on Fridays
shane: The APA WG (accessibility
architecture) has started a task force on user requirements for
payments
... the task force is assembling information to help ensure
that users can access information they need.
... we recognize that the groups that are working on APIs today
are not doing UX, but we want to raise awareness of these
issues among implementers of the APIs
... during TPAC we plan to share some information from our
early research, especially in areas like second screen or
multi-device scenarios (related to payments)
... we think that the API has taken shape so we can speak more
to it and accessibility needs
... we are looking from IG participants as well what
accessibility problems people run into in the real world, and
where we can improve upon that by evolving the payments
infrastructure.
... we also think there will be some issues to touch on re:
coupons and loyalty
dezell: Jean-Yves is driving this
CyrilV: I don't know what jean-yves has prepared yet. But EBA has released first draft of specifications around authentication
and also a high-level view of what will be required
scribe: there are a lot of things to do around credit transfer and direct debit, but so far I can't tell yet what the implications are for this RTC
Consultation Paper
IJ: I am hearing at least a few people should look at this before TPAC. I plan to read it.
Erik: I spoke with some people
about security/fraud last week...a point was made that a lot of
this would be encapsulated in 12812 section 2
... that's supposed to take a lot of international issues and
consolidate them in one place
<Erik> ISO 12812 in particular
Erik: I think any implementer of the web payments API will fall into the fraud liability change, so it falls in this neighborhood.
<Zakim> padler, you wanted to ask if we have any liaisons from 20022 or 12812 attending IG mtg?
padler: Any liaisons from 12812 or 20022 coming?
erik: I am trying to figure out what the next step is.
IJ: We had an ISO liaison call last week to clarify how the specs relate; opportunities
padler: If there's a more formal assessment of how the work of the groups relate (e.g., in a document) that would be useful
dezell: I am planning to join some of the US mirror meeting this week
<scribe> ACTION: dezell to reach out to Jean-Yves to communicate the discussion today to inform the session [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2016/08/22-wpay-minutes.html#action01]
<trackbot> Created ACTION-183 - Reach out to jean-yves to communicate the discussion today to inform the session [on David Ezell - due 2016-08-29].
<dezell> Ian: we expect to have a number of providers from China, incomplete information on registration.
IJ: The plan is for some members
to give an IG presentation on payment systems in China
... and for the WG, some implementation experience about
payment request API support for these payment systems
... I expect to know more detail early next week
- micropayments
- emerging world payment systems

dezell: I intend to chase this up
this week.
... there are 2 CGs that meet that week - bluetooth and
nfc
... both part of proximity
... I plan to see whether there are opportunities for
discussion...I know Joerg is interested
Erik: No update
... I will try to look at this this week.
<dezell> dezell: I will check with our invited experts for additional topics.
<dezell> Shane: what about ILP
<dezell> Adrian: we have a session Thursday morning, but we will wait for Thursday afternoon to get together for the last 2 hours of Thursday. Not ideal for those who have to go to AC meeting.
<AdrianHB> CG session Thursday morning (separate from IG) and joint session in the PM
<dezell> Next meeting: August 29.
