<ericP> should this http://dbooth.org/2015/fhir/bnodes/confirmed.ttl be a 404?
ericp, you're still sharing your desktop
yes, i didn't upload it to my web site
dbooth: It looks like the
reasoner *is* doing the inference, but it just is not showing
the blank nodes in the DL query or in the Protege interface.
But it is making the inference.
... This is demonstrated by lines 33-43 "Propagating inference
upward".
* You've invited zakim to :#hcls (public-irc.w3.org)
* Zakim (zakim@public.cloak) has joined #hcls
<Marc_Twagirumukiza> It's a good new that BN works. I support
* Zakim sees ericP on the speaker queue
tony: FHIR entities can have IDs. If something has an ID, can we use that to make a URI?
lloyd: the ID is only unique within the resource, but not within a bundle of multiple resources.
* Zakim sees ericP, dbooth on the speaker queue
lloyd: various things can be used to uniquely identify things. But it depends a lot on business context.
eric: expected FHIR to enable that two Bobs are the same.
lloyd: People would like FHIR to
solve that problem, but it's not a technology problem It's an
info problem. FHIR cannot make info magicaly appear.
... You would need to say that a particular identifier is
*trustworthy* as a unique ID, but the others aren't.
... There's a person resource that you can use to link multiple
patient records.
... You can make these assertions in your data, but some of
them may be erroneous.
eric: it would be nice if the graph automatically connected them together where it is asserted
<Zakim> ericP, you wanted to say that the next testing step is indistinguishable from assuming they work so let's assume they work.
<Zakim> dbooth, you wanted to say that it sounds more complicated to *sometimes* generate URIs (if an ID is present) but not always
Proposed resolution: Okay to use blank nodes. They appear to work with OWL reasoning.
RESOLUTION: Okay to use blank nodes for elements. They appear to work with OWL reasoning.
Eric: I updated to DSTU 2.
