- Best Wel Snel Car speeds are measured day and night at more than 24,000 monitoring stations. The National Data Warehouse for Traffic Information (NDW) makes these data available as open data. It is useful for avoiding traffic jams, but it also provides insight into how fast people are driving in the Netherlands. The values on the chart are based on average speeds. The data are provided to the NDW by local authorities and the national agency for infrastructure Rijkswaterstaat. The values are usually measured by means of detection loops. A pair of loops that have been placed on, for example, 2.5 meters of each other in the road surface can determine the vehicle speed by measuring the time difference between detection by the two loops.
- http://museum-digital.de/ uses reference data from the national Integrated Authority File (German: Gemeinsame Normdatei) available under CC0 and managed by the National Library of Germany.

- The Portuguese Local Transparency Portal was launched in 2014, and it allows citizens to access a series of information pertaining to municipality management in Portugal. It provides a lot of information related to financial, administrative, procurement, water quality, and transparency matters, among others, both in absolute and relative values. All the information is derived from open datasets located at the Portuguese open data portal - dados.gov.pt, and although the Transparency Portal is government sponsored, it was already built with the intention of promoting "data release" from a lot of different sources; tying in different vectors regarding Portugal's PSI and Open Government transparency initiatives.
