(Revised) PSI Directive Theme: Organisation
Implementation of the PSI directive is not a trivial task. Delivery of the full economic potential of public sector information might require legal, financial, structural, technical and cultural change within public sector bodies to efficiently and effectively deliver open, re-usable information assets. It also requires the development of the sector in the same way that public sector bodies support, nurture and encourage other industrial and economic sectors such as fisheries, engineering or tourism. The Organisational BPs focus on the areas of policy and governance, sectoral support, stakeholder involvement, and so on that underpin the development of a robust and sustainable ecosystem for the PSI industry.
