But we're calling them Assets, not Resources. It seems odd to introduce
another term for the same thing. Also, Resource doesn't sound like an
association class.

I agree that Association is very general, but that may be a virtue. Is it
always necessary to use a specialised term? The nature of the association
will vary, so calling it Subject will be wrong in those cases where the
Asset in question is not the target of the action. 

In OLT the concept that most closely matches this association is called
"Usage Related Resource". Translated into ODRL terminology that could be
"Asset associated with the Action", which is the combination of the
association and the asset itself. So "Relation" might be another possibility
- more general than Subject, but less general than Association.

In the end what matters is of course the semantics, not the actual term
itself, so this isn't a make-or-break issue, provided the meaning is agreed.
