Here is an idea.....what if Scope also included the "connection/friends".
For example, The Permission "view" is assigned to all of Renato's Facebook friends (for asset A).
The Assignee (role) would be Renato, but the Scope would  be all his FB connections:

 Asset.UID=urn:fb:renato:photos:A
 Permission.Action=display
 Party.uid=urn:fb:renato
 Party.role=assignee
 Party.scope=urn:fb:renato:friends
