Software Developer/Consultant

Here's to another 10 and then some!

Just to share we used xml in a mobile application in '96 for feeding an SAP application for a National Cookie Company that later was bought up by

Kraft. It was cool then, its still great now.

Thanks to all who helped made it possible.

Congratulations!

Congratulations on the ten year anniversary! XML has brought fun and enjoyment into the world of programming! XML aids engineers to tame the wild raging rivers of data that power through the 'net. Taming them into flowing streams that smoothen the rough edges of our applications and databases.

XML and Webcomics

I have found that XML worked very well for webcomic pages. It allowed for especially compact files, which is nice when you've got, oh, about 360 of them using the same template!

happy bday to u :)

before my story well we all sing together ( we all refer to all of those who got xml as their seminar topic ) "" happy birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birth day to dear xml happy birth day to you " well it may sound childish but couldnt control myself when my results was announced day before yesterday i scored around 92 % for my seminar (god thats too much for me ) as far as the day wehn topics were alloted for me i hardly knew what xml was we were a gang of four and two of the guys quit the next week itself and i and my friend was left we had two weeks to prepare for our seminar (just a novice seminar not a professional one ) as everyone do we googled to our surprise we got ur w3schools xml tutorial and omg what a great one was it within a span of two days we came to know a little bit about xml and the miracle of transporting data independent of anything as the days grew lot of books from library were refereed and gosh we knew what to present in a span of 1 week two days the presentation part started well i was working with open office with lt of tux pic's included all over in my seminar lot of pictures and lot and lot of humor but on the day of the presentation i did realize that the font called as purisia was not supported in office 2007 horrible right well i did continued with times new roman font the faculty's were present and i could easily convinced them how miraculous this baby is and finally i even gave an example of my real life disaster of transporting a presentation from open-office to office 2007 which made them burst out with laughter and finally when the result came it was the ultimate thing that i ever excepted and all i know is little very very little about xml would keep reading reading reading about it from today ( well i did convert the .odp file to .ppt file but the font wasn't supported for my presentation by windows ) and again happy birthday even though i don't know the date when you were born :D
