Mpool
Section 3.1.2 is unclear
- State:
- OPEN
- Product:

- Raised by:

- Description:
World - This represents the world about which the Sentence is said. This isn't very clear. If we're talking about possible world semantics we should specify that, but I don't think we are. But I'm not really sure what we're talking about. Are we referring to context, state of affairs, an actual planet, the universe?

2008-03-08 18:23:56: Mitch, since you are coordinating section 3, I'd like to hear your opinion before making any change to the final report.

2008-03-08 21:13:39: We are not talking about possible worlds here. The meaning of World is implicit in the relationship of World with Sentence. In other words, World is something that the sentence is about. We could possibly say "subject of the sentence", but then the term "subject" plays its role in OWL (and in grammar in general). Unfortunately, I don't know what would be a better term - "domain", "issue", "thing"? [Mitch Kokar]
