(updated home page by liam)
so, overall, this is the design concept we have: a header, footer, and menu on the left side
<LiamM> layout breaks happily in Moz, but annoyingly works in Opera.
yeah, opera is getting too intelligent ;)
<LiamM> Any suggestions on breaking the Op box model welcome...
liam, can you be more specific? (may we can define an action item for this)
<LiamM> Well, I would like the site layout to break on almost anything but IE
<LiamM> Presently my example breaks on FF/Moz, and would bet on Konqueror/Safari as well
<LiamM> Opera is fine, though, so will need to come up with some variances between Opera8 and IE to separate them out.
<scribe> ACTION: layout does not break in Opera, need to work on that [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/08/11-eo-minutes.html#action01]
problem: site needs to resemble real site, however no resources to implement full site
liam: implement fake links (eg all links to concert lead to same page, same with news etc)
steve: split tables into several pages
<scribe> ACTION: Steve will send out some of the material he has for discussion on the list [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/08/11-eo-minutes.html#action02]
<scribe> ACTION: Shadi will collect common accessibility that are sent to the list on a web page [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/08/11-eo-minutes.html#action03]
for home page: add some more content, headers and links, bad reading order using DIVs, maybe some quick-links side bar
<pasquale> i can make header
scribe: take out banner at the top
