- Description:
- It has been found that the parameter "maximumNumberOfEvolvingBuiltInElementGrammars" may lead to the interpretation that no more than maximumNumberOfEvolvingBuiltInElementGrammars "evolving" built-in grammars can be instantiated.
This is not entirely true. In practice unlimited built-in grammars can be instantiated. The difference is that the first maximumNumberOfEvolvingBuiltInElementGrammars may evolve without limit while all other grammars may only evolve with AT(xsi:type).
The same applies to "maximumNumberOfBuiltInProductions".
Does it make sense to exclude AT(xsi:type) from the definition of "evolving built-in element grammar" to clarify this issue?

The WG believes that it makes sense, and this will be clarified in the upcoming 3rd WD.
