Status Report

Implementation of the CC/PP module for the 1.3.x version of the Apache web server in order to become Apache transcoding web server.
Transformation the mod_proxy module of the 1.3.x version to operate for the Apache proxy server.
Transcoding support for:
- GIF images
- MP3 audio files and
- MPG video files (to some extend)
Transcoding is based on ImageMagick and FFmpeg libraries.
Porting of the CC/PP module in order to be operate with the multithreaded version 2.0.x of the Apache server.
For the transcoding process we use the ImageMagick library for the images, the FFmpeg library for the audio files and the MPEG-2 Encoder/ Decoder Version 1.1 developed by the MPEG Software Simulation Group ( http://www.mpeg.org/MPEG/MSSG/ ) for the video files.

Current and future work

Beta testing phase of the CC/PP module in order to ensure that libraries work as they should and the transcoding process is executed normally. We perform tests using clients from both personal computers and pocket PCs.
