The Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (ATAG WG) has closed. Potential future work in this area may be pursued by a working group combining the scopes of web content and applications, user agents, and authoring tools. See WAI Working Groups for more information. (5 November 2015)
ATAG 2.0 is a W3C Recommendation (standard) and Implementing ATAG 2.0 is a Working Group Note. Read the W3C blog on ATAG 2.0. (24 September 2015)
ATAG 2.0 is a W3C Proposed Recommendation. This is the last step in the W3C Process before becoming an official W3C Recommendation (standard). (21 July 2015)

- Implementations at the Publication of ATAG 1.0. This document was compiled before the publication of ATAG 1.0 to ensure that each checkpoint had been (and therefore could be) implemented.

Techniques for Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 - W3C Note (29 October 2002)
- This multi-part note provides developers with implementation techniques that may be useful in meeting the guidelines and checkpoints in ATAG 1.0.
About the ATAG WG
The Authoring Tool Accessibility Guidelines (ATAG) Working Group (ATAG WG) develops guidelines and techniques to assist authoring tool software developers to make tools, and the content that the tools generate, more accessible to people with disabilities. The Working Group Charter outlines the goals, work methods, and requirements for participation.
Work of the WCAG WG is in accordance with the W3C Process. ATAG WG work is funded in part by the WAI Core project. The work of this group does not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the funders.
