The Text and Data Mining Reservation Protocol (TDMRep) defines a simple and practical Web protocol, capable of expressing the reservation of rights relative to text & data mining (TDM) applied to lawfully accessible Web content, and to ease the discovery of TDM licensing policies associated with such content. This document defines the properties and values used in the context of the TDMRep initiative.

reservation: its value can be 1 or 0. 1 indicates that TDM rights are reserved, 0 indicates that TDM rights are not reserved.
policy: it is a URL pointing to a TDM Policy set be the rightsholder.
The following values are used in TDM Policies.
mine: indicates that a permission is related to data mining actions.
research: indicates that mining is intended for research purpose, by cultural heritage institutions, universities or other research orgs, as defined by the EU DSM.
non-research: indicates that mining is intended for purposes outside research.
