Intro Paragraph

The W3C/WAI Research and Development Working Group (RDWG) will hold an online symposium on mobile accessibility. Mobile devices are widely used, especially for accessing web pages. However, there are many accessibility challenges associated with mobile devices and this symposium aims to bring researchers and practitioners together to scope the extent and magnitude of existing mobile accessibility, and to develop a roadmap for future research and development in the field. In brief, the following three topics will be the focus of this symposium:

The W3C/WAI Research and Development Working Group (RDWG) will hold an online symposium on mobile accessibility. Mobile devices are increasingly being used to access the Web. However, there are many accessibility challenges for people with disabilities, including lack of awareness and understanding of how existing resources apply in the mobile context. This symposium aims to bring researchers and practitioners together to explore the extent and magnitude of mobile accessibility challenges, and to explore the many of existing resources and others in development. The intended outcome is a roadmap to help guide future research and development in the field. In brief, the following three topics will be the focus of this symposium:

We invite extended research abstracts of no more than 1000 words from academia, industry, and others with interest in website accessibility metrics and quality assurance.
