The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) held a full day Web Accessibility Best Practices Training on 25 October 2005 in St. Augustin, Germany, as part of the WAI-TIES Project (WAI - Training, Implementation, Education, Support). This training was hosted by Barrierefreie Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik für Alle (BIKA) group of the Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Informationstechnik (FIT).
The Web accessibility training (in English) covered the following topics:
While participation was open to anyone interested in Web development, the event was specifically designed for experienced Web developers with basic knowledge of Web accessibility and little or no experience in Web accessibility evaluation. We especially encouraged participation from representatives of governmental or non-profit organizations and from different regions and languages in Europe.

Note: The entrance to the venue is through the (main) car entrance of Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. Registered participants will receive visitor badges at the security checkpoint and the security staff will be happy to give further directions to the actual meeting room in the Schloss.
