Internationalization Comments on <spec_title>

Dates of comments: <date> to <date>

The WG column indicates whether these are comments on behalf of the Internationalization Core WG. The "Owner" column indicates who has taken the responsibility of tracking discussions on a given comment. Orange shading signifies that the comment is unresolved.

We recommend that responses to the comments in this table use a separate email for each point. This makes it far easier to track threads. Click on the icons in the right-most column to see email discussions.

You can edit this page by clicking on Edit Table (right), then using the buttons that appear in the right-most column and the forms below the table. It doesn't actually change the text on the server. For that, hit the Create Source Code button near the bottom of the page and use the resulting text to edit the page or send to someone for editing.

Delete this row when creating a new table.

Using the system provided here, rather than editing the source directly, speeds things up since you only have to enter essential information, ensures better consistency, and avoids errors that have arisen in the past in the code (such as missing class names for table cells required for auto-generating emails).

How to use the Edit/create a comment form to edit or create comments:

Check New comment? for new comments, otherwise click on an Edit button in the right column to edit existing comments. Click on Move to table once you have finished editing a given comment.

Supply an ID manually. Location in document refers to the section number and optionally paragraph etc information. The URI field provides the nearest link, and will reflect changes if several versions of the document are commented on.

The Subject should be short and concise.

The Owner field contains the initials of the person raising the comment or assigned to track the comment by the i18n WG.

The Links section is used to create links to the mail threads related to this comment. Mutiple links can be added using the Add link button, which appends the information in the Prefix, Subject and List boxes to the box below.

The Prefix is something like [html5]. The Subject refers to the subject line of the mail thread. These two boxes provide information used for searching in the mail archive. Type into the List field the name of the list to be searched, eg. public-i18n-core.

When the whole table is as you want it, click on the Create source code button. This will dump the source code for the table into the field at the bottom of the page. You can then copy & paste that source code into an editor to update the document, or send the source code in an email to someone who will do that for you.
