Meeting minutes
<LisaSeemanKest> Thanks
Making Content Usable for People with Cognitive and Learning Disabilities update.
<LisaSeemanKest> https://
Janina: document has been tweaked to help readability and navigation
Janina: CFC should be out soon, hopefully today, for voting
<LisaSeemanKest> https://
<LisaSeemanKest> has it
Judy: People-first is the general principle in WAI but the doc sometimes doesn't use this. Is this deliberate?
LisaSeemanKest: Yes, some feedback from users requested this but there is not universal consensus. Attempts were made to follow method wished by people in the described demographics.
RAUR and XAUR update on the CfC.
jasonjgw: CFC's for both concluded at the end of last week.
jasonjgw: Comments were received on RAUR and there are some open issues.
<jasonjgw> https://
Janina: XAUR got one -1 but otherwise positive.
Janina: XAUR position is to publish and input from any commenters requesting extra time to look at it can be included later.
Janina: Some additional comments came in relating to hearing loss which are judged to be uncontroversial.
Janina: Some of the comments that were raised in an email were sent to a list address where they would be bounced so these need to be redirected and assessed.
Media synchronization research.
jasonjgw: This is approaching a point where we can give APA a deliverable.
Judy: There is a W3C workshop on production of media. They are interested in a11y and are looking for presenters.
Janina: We may be looking to get a slot to present. We have a fair bit to speak about there.
Accessibility of natural language interfaces.
jasonjgw: JPaton suggested changes and joconnor created a branch to show what they would look like before going on leave.
<janina> https://
jasonjgw: COGA have created a document on voice systems which is relevant to this work.
jasonjgw: Editing work will need to wait until joconnor comes back off leave.
Miscellaneous updates and topics relevant to Task Force work.
Judy: I'll forward the missing messages so look out for them.
