[Waiting for last attendee to join]

Philip: [mentions three ongoing commercial projects with XForms, with a fourth on the way]

Steven: Can I mention this publically?

Philip: Not at the moment.

Call times

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2015Aug/0006.html

Erik: Unfortunately I have to drop my son at school at the time of the call.

Steven: How does a later call work for you others?

Philip: I'm usually communting in order to get to another call

Nick: Difficult for me.

Erik: I can try to do it earlier
... 6 to 7 my time, which is 15-16 European time

Steven: Let's try next week then, 2 hours earlier than normal, to see if it works. I will contact Alain

Editing

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2015Jul/0005.html

Steven: I plan to start editing again, none so far though.

Erik: I have edits to do as well.

XML Activity

Steven: The XML Activity did get rechartered, without any fanfare
... we didn't get rechartered with it yet.
... I'm awaiting news from Liam

Steven: This is just a reminder that I have to contact Mark Seaborne.

Comments on XForms 2

https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xformsusers/2015Aug/0000

Steven: I agree with modifying the HTML wording. I think we can point to people combining XForms and SVG.

Nick: It just works in several implementations.
... we do it in our iPhone implementation

Steven: Alain uses it as well
... We need to keep DOMActivate for compatibility at least.

Nick: How would that work

Steven: I don't think it would be a problem. It's easy to convert between the two
... HTML5 compatibility - I don't think he understands properly.
... I think he is wrong
... Point 4

Erik: I agree with the intent, but not with what he says
... clearly we have XForms running in the browser.
... we don't need to emphasise that this is for dedicated browsers. There are three general ways of going about it.

Steven: 5) Normative language
... I think we should says "tthanks for the input, we will look at it". Alwatys happy to have suggestions.
... 6) Format

Erik: This is what we were doing years ago.
... It is an implementation approach

Steven: This is already happening in some senses. Eg SMIL

Philip: How?

Steven: SMIL State uses XForms

Philip: I'd missed that; sounds interesting.

AOB

Steven: Time's running out; adjourn?

[Agreement]

Philip: Regrets for next week
