<MichaelC> Geometry Interfaces Module Level 1
<MaryJo> MC: This is a first public working draft to provide basic geometric interfaces, possibly for both CSS and SVG - not clear.
<MaryJo> MC: Points, rectangles, quadrilateral, and matrix. Seems too low level for us.
<MaryJo> JS: We can refer it to our new emerging task force.
<MaryJo> MC: Will be interesting to know how these shapes can be used.
<MichaelC> Browser Sync CG
<MaryJo> MC: This will give users the ability to synch data in multiple browsers, instances, etc.
<MaryJo> CS: May interest us because there may be user settings, privacy, operating system interoperability issues.
<MaryJo> LS: This is work we want them to achieve for cognitive, as sometimes you need more time and this may enable that.
<MaryJo> CS: This synching works quicker than that, so might not be useful for longer times.
<MaryJo> JS: Question to group - We did a lot of testing at the finish of WAI-ARIA 1.0. The ARIA that resides in the HTML spec - do we need to test this?
<MaryJo> CS: There is a lot of overlap.
<MaryJo> LS: There is overlap, but there might be unique things to test.
<MaryJo> JS: Will bring this up in the ARIA meeting to Rich.
<MaryJo> JS: Need to validate all of the work that's Text Alternatives for HTML which has migrated into the spec. Should working group publish as a note. Test
<MaryJo> JS: We also need to ensure consensus on the part of the spec that talks about Alt.
<MaryJo> JS: The edits have been made to the Media Accessibility User Requirements Document, but still need to respond to the commenters.
<MaryJo> JS: Publish date targeted for June may slip a little, as some additional editing is needed.
<MaryJo> JS: We have been working with the TV interest group on use cases for accessibility.
<MaryJo> JS: SVG - Rich posted a pointer to the draft work statement, but we haven't heard back from them yet.
<MaryJo> JS: The work statement needs to be approved before work can formally begin.
<MaryJo> LS: The cognitive task force has several sub-groups focusing on the different user groups and a gap analysis. We are also looking into different approaches and technologies.
<MaryJo> LS: There is different function needed in different places, so we want to have a vocabulary for doing that. It would make a functional approach to accessibility.
<MaryJo> LS: If anyone wants to help out, contact Lisa.
