<Loretta> Sorry - my wireless is going flaky on me...
Detlev: note on using tabindex use into user agent notes,?
James: leave one example in with
a clear explanation why it'd there
... the example can be changed by putting the id on the anchor
instead of the span
<Joshue108> http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Using_aria-labeledby_for_link_purpose
<scribe> ACTION: reworl example 2 of aria-sdescribedby for link purpose according to the discussion section of the wiki [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2012/12/10-html-techs-tf-minutes.html#action01]
<scribe> ACTION: Detlev add explanation in the text why tabindex+-1 is being used here [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2012/12/10-html-techs-tf-minutes.html#action02]
<jamesn> http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Talk:Using_aria-labeledby_for_link_purpose
James will take it up to Microsoft to check whether the bug will be fixed soon
James: problem is that any time you have multime references in aria-labelledby you need to make sure that all elements referenced are in the a11y tree (by adding tabindex=-1)
<jamesn> ACTION: James to talk to Cynthia in order to determine the status of tabindex -1 and whether it is necessary when using describedby and labelledby in IE [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2012/12/10-html-techs-tf-minutes.html#action03]
<scribe> ACTION: Josh will ping Steve Falukner to get his view on the issue [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2012/12/10-html-techs-tf-minutes.html#action04]
James: it's referenced in the MS documentation
<Joshue108> http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Using_aria-labeledby_for_link_purpose
James: ARIA implementation user agent guide states that any elements referenced must be pulled into the accessibility tree - so MS shoud be told about it
<Joshue108> http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Using_aria-describedby
Reference to longdesc in second paragraph in Description is a bit confusing
Josh: focuong on the added value of longdesc - external URI
<scribe> ACTION: Josh will edit this text [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2012/12/10-html-techs-tf-minutes.html#action05]
Discussion will be moved to next week
<jamesn> https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/35422/11262012/results
Josh: discussion of long
descriptions, example proposed by Jams Craig
... some of this may be turned onto a technique
<jongund> I have to go to another call
<Joshue108> http://cookiecrook.com/longdesc/
<jamesn> http://cookiecrook.com/longdesc/
Josh> suggests to look at the examples and see whether we can turn this into techniques
