widgets discussion above

Richard: Marcos contacted me, I asked him to write the mail
... in the mail they say that they have trouble implementing namespace-based attributes
... but in the example he gives there is a dir and an its:dir attribute
... in my opinion, the ITS specification does not require you to use its:dir
... if you have its:dir, you should use that
... but you could use the attribute without the prefix as well

yves: so we could just answer him on that mailing list?

richard: sure
... he also wants to have a voice meeting, with the core working group, on Thursday afternoon

Felix: I can participate

Richard: Addison might come as well
... Marcos said that ITS has also other stuff, like XPath, but there is no need for him to implement that

yves: any other specifications to be reviewed?

richard: html5
... tomorrow, during the core meeting, we will publish a first public working draft of bidi proposals to add to html
... that might include some things that might come up in a future version of ITS

ITS Rules repository

<r12a> http://www.w3.org/International/docs/html-bidi-requirements/

yves: had an AI to add some rules files, will do that next time

ITS Processor with XSLT

<YvesS> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-i18n-its-ig/2010Feb/0004.html

yves: Felix was wondering about the need of the nested value

some discussion about the nested value

Felix: would be great to get feedback on the new output being produced

yves: ok, will also post something to the XLIFF list about this

ITS General issues

Context data category

<YvesS> http://www.w3.org/International/its/wiki/IssuesAndProposedFeatures#Proposal:_idValue

<YvesS> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-i18n-its-ig/2010Feb/0002.html

yves: Christian had some comments, agree with most of them

going through Christians comments

AOB

richard: multilingual web project is moving forward
... aim of that project is to look into standards for the multilingual web
... ITS is right in here
... this might be an opportunity to get more visibility for ITS
... hope that Felix or Christian are thinking of bringing the message of ITS to the workshop
... if you are thinking of talking about something else, please let me know

Christian, Felix: yes, thanks

discussion about what and when to be integrated into a future ITS spec

<r12a> we can hear you yves

<YvesS> I think I'm off the call for some reason (but still with a line)

<r12a> yes we hear you, but christian wants you to hear him ;-)

discussion about (reference) libraries for (w3c or other) specs

next meeting march 23rd, bye
