Issue 59: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/59
db: whether an event causes something to happen on the desktop is up to the desktop
MC: user agent would need to tell
the OS something
... need to set expectations about that
... even if we don't feel they can be made normative
DB: if turn on showsounds, which sounds are actually shown today?
AS: Cynthia already has action 166 on this issue
issue 66: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/61
MC: taken care of by forming this task force
AS: and decided the UAIG would be normative
MC: planning for UAIG to go to LC when WAI-ARIA spec goes to CR
issue 80: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/80
MC: sounds like it is just a work item - could migrate to a bug
<scribe> ACTION: Andi to create a bug for this and close the issue [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2010/02/02-aapi-minutes.html#action01]
issue 86: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/86
DB: on an implementation level, it's solvable but is the problem what is in the spec
?
<davidb> http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/aria/roles#spinbutton
DB: looks in spec - says min and max are required
MC: one option is to change the
spec so they are not required
... would be topic for Monday meeting
... even for things that are not technically required, you have
to provide them for things to work right
DB: at this stage, could we change the values from decimal to string?
MC: pretty strong change, why?
DB: don't know that I want to,
just wondered if it could be on the table for spin values that
are not decimals
... you can still give a decimal value based on the index
MC: didn't realize there were spin buttons that didn't have decimal values
DB: for example, days of the week
MC: sounds like this could be something to consider for ARIA 2.0
DB: in progress bar, we added aria-valuetext for these kinds of cases
MC: think valuemin and valuemax are not required on progress bars
DB: think there is similarity
between progress bars, sliders, and spin buttons
... look different but model is the same
<scribe> ACTION: David to raise this with the ARIA task force [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2010/02/02-aapi-minutes.html#action02]
issue 87: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/87
related to issue 86
David to include when raising issue with ARIA TF
issue 88: http://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/Group/track/issues/88
DB: most important thing is not allowing the action to happen
<scribe> ACTION: bug - David to look at issue 88 and current UAIG draft and make a suggested edit [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2010/02/02-aapi-minutes.html#action03]
