On this page: TF status | Goal | Documents
The TF is no longer active.
As decided at the BPWG F2F Meeting of 5 November 2007 in Boston, the work of the TF was moved to the main body of the Best Practices Working Group in coordination with the WAI Education and Outreach Working Group.
Rather than detailing a closed task force, this page now links to the documents developed around the subject.
The goal of the TF was to produce a document describing the relationships, overlaps and differences (mapping) between Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. See Relationship between MWBP 1.0 and WCAG document below.
Some introductory slides are available in PPT and PDF formats.
The Requirements/Analysis and changelog for Relationship Between MWBP & WCAG page exposes the objectives and the use cases of the MWBP-WCAG mapping work. It also links to the documents developed jointly by the WAI Education and Outreach Working Group and the MWI Best Practices Working Group such as the Experiences Shared by People with Disabilities and by People Using Mobile Devices editors' draft.
The latest editor's Draft of the Relationship Between Mobile Web Best Practices 1.0 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines document.
The editor's Draft should be published as First Public Working Draft by end of January 2008. Comments should be sent to both wai-eo-editors@w3.org (archive) and public-bpwg@w3.org (archive)
The following are some possible directions for future work once the primary document is stable, identified during preliminary discussions. These are beyond the scope of the now-closed TF.
