Missing People
Mist have means to identify, account, track, contact, support missing people and their families/seekers. There are three categories of people:
- Missing people – need much detail
- Displaced families – sparse info available
- Workers (Volunteers & Responders)
And the following are the attributes about a missing person that is of interest:
- ID - passport, government issued id, etc.
- Name (one field, not segmented)
- Alias/nickname
- Nationality
- Permanent residence
- Tribal/ethnic/racial/creed affiliation
- Language(s) spoken
- Physical appearance – distinctive characteristics
- Age
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Phone number
- General health conditions/medical dependencies
- Categorization (group based on other data)
- Last known location
- Current location
- Last known destination
- Known family members/other contacts
- Known to be traveling with (data record linkage)
- Other Associations (family, work, friends)
- Preferred mode of contact
- Seekers of that person
- Photograph/ biometric
- Status (alive, sick, injured, well, missing, dead, account for, not accounted for)
- Transport modality
- Resident/Visitor/Tourist
This specification needs to be evaluated against People Finder Interchange Format (PFIF) 1.1 (2.0?) and Well & Safe model, based in International Rescue Committee (IRC) system.
