agneda+ Review of draft guide documents.

<David_MacDonald> am I in

What is sufficient to meet each SC?

<David_MacDonald> hi Christophe say hi to Leuven

Status of action items and questions.

discussing: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wcag-teama/2005Sep/0038.html

proposal: remove "user interface controls" from definition of "change of context?

resolution: remove "user interface controls" from definition

<Gez> Yeah, I thought they were relevant to the guideline, but if definitions exist elsewhere I'd be happy with those

<Gez> Yeah, I'll look it up

<scribe> ACTION: Gez to look at definition of focus in other W3C specs [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/09/13-wcag-teama-minutes.html#action01]

http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/#event-handlerdef

<Gez> I'm not precious about any of the definitions I provided. They were things I thought needed defining, but if they're defined elswhere I'd be happy with those definitions

<Gez> Event handler isn't mentioned in my text, but I used fire an event, which requires an event handler

<Gez> This success criteria is a negative one, so I couldn't think of anything that could be done to meet it, more what to avoid

<Gez> anything with onfocus="" that changes context

<Gez> Hi Greeg - I'm muted, so having to type

<gregg> hi

discussing Christophe's draft: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wcag-teama/2005Sep/0035.html

<Gez> remote scripting could be used to provide a complete change of content automatically, which would fall under this guidelines - I think Christophe has it covered in option 1

discussing: gregg's proposal - http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wcag-teama/2005Sep/0031.html

proposal: move L2 SC2 (When any component

receives focus, it does not cause a change of context.) to level 1.

<Gez> Change of content is mentioned at the end of Gregg's guide doc

<Gez> No, I think it would be more appropriate at level 1

resolved: remove L1 SC1 Rationale: if you meet the other level 1

success criterion, then a user agent should be able to programmatically

determine changes in context in a fairly straightforward way.

<Gez> Sorry, Ben - could you repeat that?

<Gez> Yeah - I'll define context menus and change of content

resolution: move L2 SC2 to level 1

<scribe> ACTION: Gez to include clarification about change in context vs. change in content and incorporate david's suggestion about menus [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/09/13-wcag-teama-minutes.html#action02]

resolution: revise definition of "change in context" to read, "change of user agent, viewport, or focus; or complete change of main content. "

<Gez> I'm going to call in again - as I'd like to be able to speak :-)

discussing Ben's draft: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wcag-teama/2005Sep/att-0037/3.2_L2_SC1.htm

<David_MacDonald> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wcag-teama/2005Sep/att-0037/3.2_L2_SC1.htm

http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/WCAG20/#conformance

resolution: move L2 SC1 (Components that are repeated on multiple delivery units within a set of delivery units occur in the same order each time they are repeated.) to level 3

<Gez> The definition you've provided for same order looks fine to me

issue: should we include something that addresses subtle changes in repeated content?

<scribe> ACTION: Neil to explore including a criterion about differences in content being easily discernable [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/09/13-wcag-teama-minutes.html#action03]

<Gez> A user agent may be aware that content has changed, but may not relay that change to the user; for example, a screen reader may be aware an element had changed, but wouldn't automatically read the change to the user unless they re-read the page

What is sufficient to meet each SC?

discussing: decisions we need from the group now?

1) deleting L1 SC1

2.) moving L2 SC1 to L1

3.) moving L2 SC1 to L3

4) proposed definitions (change of context & same order)

<scribe> ACTION: ben to create survey on above items [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2005/09/13-wcag-teama-minutes.html#action04]
