ISSUE-29: image in html5
image
image in html5
- State:
- OPEN
- Product:
- Raised by:

- Opened on:

- Description:
- in mathml-in-html5 as currently specified <image/> will get mapped to <xhtml:img/>
If it stays this way we should ad a note advising people to use <csymbol>image (ie strict content mathml) instead, at least in a text/html context.
It might be better to ensure that the final html5 spec only specifies this legacy image -> img mapping in html contexts and not in <math><apply><image/>

Related notes:
Would it not make more sense to map it to something with the semantics of image instead of a csymbol with a character string content?
e.g. <csymbol definitionURL="mathspec#image">image</csymbol>, or whatever the current recommended equivalent of a defined symbol is :)
