W3C hosts this five day event once a year to allow Working Groups (WG) and Interest Groups (IG) to hold their face to face meetings in one place and have the opportunity to meet and liaise with participants from other groups. See Past Meetings section below for more info.
W3C thanks the 2004 Technical Plenary Premium Sponsors, IBM and Sun Microsystems, for their generous support.
Participation is open to people involved in W3C activities. If you are a participant in good standing in a W3C Working or Interest group, you should either have a member account with us, or have a public account that will let you use the registration form below.
All meeting participants are expected to register for each meeting they plan to attend as either a group participant or an observer (some groups may not permit observers).
ONLINE REGISTRATION
is open until 23 February 2004.
The Wednesday plenary session is open to the WG and IG participants but also by invitation to guests (e.g. potential members, external liaison contacts). The invitation should come from the staff or the W3C offices staff.
For the Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday WG and IG meetings, participation is subject to each group's policy. Please contact the WG or IG Chair for information about participation policy.
Consult the list of Working Group Chairs (Member-only).
Fourteen meeting rooms have been reserved to accommodate W3C Working Group (WG) and Interest Group (IG) face to face meetings.
The overall schedule follows the usual WGs-TP-WGs pattern:
All rooms will be available from 8am to 6pm, with registration open from 8:00-9:00, coffee break available from 10:00-11:00 and 15:00-16:00 and lunch break from noon to 2pm. Each group should take care of providing their exact daily agenda (start time, end time, break time) to their participants.

avenue Henri ClewsNice International Airport is the closest international airport to the meeting site. The Royal Hotel Casino is located about 20 miles from the airport. The travel time between the airport and the hotel (meeting site) will vary between 30 minutes to one hour depending on traffic conditions. Taxi fares will range between 45-60 Euros.
Please Note: All events will take place at the hotel. There is a small harbor village nearby and Cannes croisette is a 5 min cab ride.
If you are renting a car at the airport, please take the highway A8 to the West, in the direction of Cannes and Aix en Provence. This is a toll road.
Pass both the Cannes and Cannes La Bocca exits, to Exit 40, Mandelieu La Napoule. As you exit, you will take an obligatory right turn after ~100M, and then, shortly thereafter, turn right again at the traffic signal. Continue on that road until it ends at a T intersection. Turn Left. Now proceed to the end of that road at a golf course, just after a small bridge over the river La Siagne. Turn Right. Proceed with the golf course on your left. In ~100M, when you see a road on your right and a road on the left going up, take the road going up on the left for about 10 meters to a T. You will see the water front here. Turn Right. The hotel is on your left: proceed about 50M, until you can turn left into the entrance of the hotel.
If you are using the railways note that there is a train station "Mandelieu La Napoule" but that not all trains stop there. The nearest train station where all trains stop is "Cannes".
See the Les Arcs - Nice (west-east) Nice - Les Arcs (east-west) train timetables.
For example, the first two morning TER trains that stop in Mandelieu La Napoule arrive at 7.22 a.m and 8.34 a.m. The last evening TER trains departing from Mandelieu La Napoule are scheduled at 5.45 p.m. and 7.11 p.m.
Monday/Tuesday and Thursday/Friday: 12:00-2:00 pm -
